~It all started with the free Craftsy class Bag-Making Basics: Drawstring Bag and Bucket Bag by Kirstin Link. I made a large bucket bag to hold my needle felting supplies. Then, Curls came for a visit bring some of her fabric stash and said we needed smaller bucket bags. I whipped up two smaller bags to use for holding knitting projects. And, although I warn my kids and students not to say “never” I’m going to say it. I HATE making bucket bags and will NEVER make another one! Sewing on that circular bottom is just a PAIN! I love the bottom I designed and used for my It’s In The Bag projects, which is so easy! Now don’t get me wrong, the bucket bags are really cute, as you can see.
My oldest granddaughter picked out the fleece for her jacket. She has always made a fashion statement. In preschool, she was known for her fashion. Nothing has change at the age of nine. The black buttons were off a coat from my stash. My button stash came from both by sides of the family, my husband’s and mine. I love using them. I just wish I knew their history.
