Interesting report…
If I like a blog, I do tend to leave comments. I don’t comment on all posts, but I go out of my way to be a good virtual neighbor, one way to do that (for me at least) is leave comments. It’s my way of letting you know that I was around, since if I just read you might not know that I visited.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful New Year!

Q – I do the same. For instance, yours doesn’t have a like button and I don’t comment on all posts.
I read every one though. I do that for all the blogs I follow since each one brightens my day!
Happy New Year to you and your wonderful daughter. Maybe this is the year you have a chance to start spinning?
Opal @ Playiing with Fiber
This year, I’m counting on spinning. I’ve already started researching spinning wheels. From what I’ve been reading it’s not that great idea to get a starter spinning wheel, since I’ll outgrow it, so I’ll be purchasing a regular one towards the end of summer. I’ll have to search your posts to see which ones you’ve mentioned. I’ll pick up a drop spindle by springtime.

Q – I LOVE my Lendrum. I recommend going to a spinning store and trying wheels first. That’s what I did. I found I have to have two treadles and can’t use double drives. There are four of us in class with Lendrums. What I like is that it doesn’t need to be oiled. I found the best success with Golding spindles. You’ll love spinning, and I can just see you little one now!

The Maryland spinning stores I’ve checked aren’t that near to me, but I do believe I’ll tie a spinning wheel excursion along with our trip to Harper’s Ferry. I’ve already planned a weekend trip for my daughter and I towards the end of summer..but I’m thinking of moving the trip to late October/early November so we can take part in the old fashioned Christmas! I bet she would love spinning. She loves playing with fiber… just like her mom. She’s already working on her second crocheted doll! Did I tell you she has her own little yarn stash? I gave her some of my yarn.

Q – The trip sounds like fun.
That is so wonderful, lid mother like daughter! Lucky you and lucky her!
